Vereecke, Arlett |
| |
Arlett Vereecke has been the publicist for Slash and Duff for over 17 years now, and has also been working with them when they were starting up VR. She is no longer the band's main publicist but still speaks on behalf of Slash. She was heavily in the news when the band announced Scott as the lead singer and when they decided on a band name.

Wallace,
Andy
|
| |
Andy manned the mixing
desk during the recording of 'Contraband'
He has an impressive resume, and here's
his biography from Allmusic.com:
A sonically influential
presence on the current music scene,
Andy Wallace has helped to make some
of the most brutal, aggressive music
released and also some of the most
beautiful. Native New Yorker Wallace
began his career by gravitating to
Los Angeles in 1974, where he opened
his own studio and became chief engineer.
The project only lasted a few years
with little success before he returned
to the Big Apple in time for the hip-hop
boom of the early 80s. Recognizing
the street aggression in the music,
Wallace set about combining rock instrumentation
with hip-hop stylings. After re-mixing
tracks for Springsteen and Prince,
among others, Wallace landed his big
break by producing Run D.M.C.'s "Walk
this Way" teaming with Aerosmith.
The single teamed him with Def Jam
founder Rick Rubin and the pair continued
to work together throughout the 80s,
producing such lethaly heavy groups
as Slayer and Sepultura. Perhaps the
record he's most noted for, however,
is Jeff Buckley's 1994 release Grace,
which became a critically accalimed
album and on whose unique aural qualities
were continually being copied by other
groups and producers.
The producer was set to man the helm
of Buckley's second album when the
singer died tragically in the Mississippi
River. Since then Wallace has busied
himself by working with Faith No More
and Alice Cooper among others.

Dave Kusnher started his career as the guitarist for 'Wasted Youth', a punk rock band well known in the U.S. that allowed him to become pretty popular in the rock scene. In 1987, the band recorded their debut album, 'Black Daze', which was released in 1988. Dave plays guitar and bass on this record. He left the group a year before they recorded their second album in 1990. |

Williams, Pharrell |
| |
From Wikipedia: Pharrell Williams (born April 5, 1973) is an American singer, rapper, composer, and songwriter. He is also one half of the production duo The Neptunes (with Chad Hugo) with whom he produces primarily hip-hop music. He is also the lead singer and drummer in the funk-rock group N*E*R*D with Hugo and Shae Haley. As a part of The Neptunes Pharrell has produced numerous hit singles for various music megastars. He plays the drums, keyboard, and guitar.
In 2006, Velvet Revolver spoke about working with Pharrell for their second album. It is unsure if he ended up doing work with the band, but Pharrell collaborated with Scott Weiland for Scott's second solo album on the song 'Happy'. |
